Even better, the yogurt treat has about one-third less calories than
ice cream with all the health benefits of yogurt, she said.
Cost
of the yogurt is determined by weight, depending on how much the
customer puts in the colorful cups. Lay say on average half a cup costs
about $3 and a full cup costs about $6.
Besides self-serve yogurt,
the store offers coffee, smoothies, protein shakes and other beverages
as well as more solid treats such as oatmeal and biscotti. The north
location had indoor seating for about 21, six tables outside and a
drive-thru window. It has a manager and 14 employees.
"Since the
opening soon sign went up, we've had people showing up," Lay said,
adding that they were expecting a church group of about 20 people on
opening evening.
